Prof. Neven CEGNAR – Development Manager “Eurotalents“ (TI&S) informed Table Tennis Associations about the future actions.

“New leadership of ETTU has established and approved the new Development Program for European players. Program is focused on building a basic model pathway. The whole project should integrate all dedicated persons in Europe in order to create positive, dynamic and new spirit in the European Table Tennis family,” said CEGNAR.

DP will start from the youngest – ETTU DP “Eurotalents“ (It includes Talented Identification & Selection – TI&S Program) and Project 21& Under, as a second parallel line of the whole ETTU DP.

The main role of ETTU in that field is to create partnership with and between association(s). TI&S program will be established for the young and talented players basically 10-12 years old (1 boy and one girl / Association). The young players will be selected based on three criteria:

a) Selection conducted by the ACG and DM during the EYC in Italy (July 2014)
b) Selection conducted by the ACG and DM during the Eurominichamps in France (August 2014)
c) Selection based on 2-3 Pre-selection camps (depending of entries) in August 2014 The final step of the program will be Selection camp for all selected players in October 2014.
