Four gold medals for Türkiye in the individual events in Nevşehir Cappadocia

The second Europe Youth Series tournament in 2024, the Türkiye Open in Nevşehir Cappadocia, concluded with great success for Turkey's players in the individual events. Overall, they won four gold medals, Azerbaijan claimed two, and Germany and Switzerland each earned one.

In the Under 15 Boys Singles, Kenan Eren KAHRAMAN of Turkey emerged as the winner, defeating his compatriot Gorkem OCAL. Lukas WANG of Germany and Onur GULUZADE of Azerbaijan were halted in the semifinals.

In the Under 15 Boys Doubles, Gorkem OCAL and Kenan Eren KAHRAMAN of Turkey secured the gold medal after a victory in the final against the combination of Berk ÖZTOPRAK of Turkey and Elias-Mate SIMO of Switzerland.

In the match for third place, Matt CLOSSET and Jamie EILING of Belgium overcame Tunar BAGHIROV and Ughur NAZARLI of Azerbaijan.

The title in the Under 15 Girls Singles Event went to Lisa-Sophie WANG of Germany. The silver medal went to Lessia LEWYCKYJ of Belgium. They prevailed against Yaghmur MAMMADLI of Azerbaijan and Ayten Ceren KAHRAMAN of Turkey in the semifinals.

In the final of the Under 15 Girls Doubles Event, Buse KOÇAK and Elif AKYUREK of Turkey overcame teammates Nil BASARAN and Duru KIRBAÇ.

In the match for third place, Belgium’s Lotte NUYTTENS and Lessia LEWYCKYJ beat Azerbaijan’s Shabnam MANSUROVA and Khadija EYLAZOVA.

The winner in the Under 13 Boys Singles event is Kuzey GÜNDOĞDU of Turkey. He defeated his teammate Gorkem OCAL in the final. Both prevailed in the semifinals against Salih YILDIRIM and Onur GULUZADE of Azerbaijan.

In the final of the Under 13 Boys Doubles, Azerbaijan’s Onur GULUZADE and Shakir GADIROV overcame Turkey’s Kuzey GÜNDOĞDU and Salih YILDIRIM with a score of 3:0.

Aras AYDIN and Ahmet TÜKENMEZ of Turkey succeeded in the match for third place against teammates Ahmet Yiğit GÜLENLER and Ahmet ÇELIK.

In the final of the Under 13 Girls Singles Event, Yaghmur MAMMADLI of Azerbaijan clinched gold. The silver medal went to Michelle WU of Switzerland.

In the all-Swiss semifinal, Enya HU lost to her teammate, while Ayten Ceren KAHRAMAN of Turkey lost to Azerbaijan’s winner.

In the Under 13 Girls Doubles, Enya HU and Michelle WU of Switzerland overcame Ayten Ceren KAHRAMAN and Ela Su YÖNTER of Turkey in the final.

In the match for third place, Yaghmur MAMMADLI and Banu BAYTALLI of Azerbaijan defeated Ecrin ATASEVER and Armin AYDIN of Turkey.
