Good start for Borges Grup Vall

In Russia, in Verkhnaya Pyshma, at the beginning of the Round of 16 in the Men’s Europe Cup, TTSC UMMC-ELEM had a good start, but failed to stay on the winning course. Borges Group Vall recorded away victory in the opening leg after thrilling five matches.

 

Mikhail PAIKOV recorded two wins for the host club; he beat Joan MASSIP NAVARRO and Marc DURAN GIRALD. However, it was not sufficient for the overall victory. Spanish side proved they had a better team, all three players, DURAN, NAVARRO and Albert VILARDELL HIDALGO scored. Second leg is scheduled for November 9.

 

In the opening match of the Women’s Europe Cup hosts ASKÖ LZ Linz Froschberg easily prevailed against TT Vedrinamur in three matches. Karolina MISHEK overcame Alice DUBOIS, Tin Tin HO beat and Jane BERNARD, whilst Denise PAYET sealed the match with the victory over Morgane GUIDON. Second leg will be played on November 10.
