Berlin sets up semifinal showdown with Linz

ECLW top seed beat again SVNO STROCK 3:1 in the reprise of 2012 final

 

TTC Berlin Eastside confirmed its top position of 2015/16 ECLW seeding list, as it beat SVNO STROCK3:1 in the returning quarter-final leg. The same outcome was seen eight days ago in Schwechat in favor of German side which will play against Linz AG Froschberg in the semifinal showdown. It will be a clash between two double ECLW champions: Berlin lifted the trophy in 2012 and 2014, while Austrian champion did it in 2009 and 2013.

 

The opening encounter belonged to Austrian team, when Matilda EKHOLM defeated SHAN Xiaona in straight games. Berlin responded by three fast wins in a row. Georgina POTA leveled the score against youngest STROCK player 17 year-old Marie MIGOT, while Petrissa SOLJA and SHAN overcame Tetyana BILENKO and MIGOT respectively in straight games.
