After the success in Skopje, players from CSM Constanta succeeded in the Europe Cup

In the opening leg of the Europe Cup quarterfinal, Romania’s CSM Constanta overcame the French team GRAND-QUEVILLY ALCL.

Elena ZAHARIA, who won silver in singles and gold partnering with Bianca MEI ROSU in doubles just two days ago at the European Under 21 Championships in Skopje, gave her team a dream start against Isa COK. Alina MUSAT ZAHARIA added two more points by defeating Samson LI and COK. On the other side, LI prevailed against Elena, and Anais SAPIN beat MEI ROSU.

"It was an intense match with two duels that went full distance, and we expected a difficult challenge. The team from France had experience in the Champions League, and we knew they were strong. The atmosphere was amazing, and our supporters helped us a lot. Although I could have closed the match 3-1 with my game, I am happy that my sister could seal the deal and ultimately secure the victory for us," said Elena ZAHARIA.

The second leg is scheduled for Friday.
