Sandefjord has been awarded the 2023 EVC

The European Championship for veterans 2023 has been awarded to the Norwegian Table Tennis Association. The championship will be played in Oslofjord Convention Center in Sandefjord, from Monday 26 June to Saturday 1 July 2023.

Denmark and Croatia were also candidates to host the Championship.

The record breaking European Championships so far were held in Budapest in 2019, with 3,700 players.

Norway hosted the Veterans' World Cup in 1996 in Lillehammer, at that time with just under 2,000 players from 50 nations.

NTTA President Christian IBENFELDT led the Norwegian 5-man delegation that presented the 2023 European Championships to ETTU last week, and now is ready to start work on preparing the European Championships 2023.

“Thank you so much for your confidence and trust in us to host the EVC 2023. We are all very excited already and will start preparing the best veteran championships ever - that was our promise and we will stand by that,” said NTTA President Christian IBENFELDT.
