It’s not happening every day: to have two Top 10 players on ITTF ranking list in two WECL clubs which play one against another! So this Friday (18h00 CET) could be special one because Zamek Tarnobrzeg expects Fenerbahce in Round 2 of 2014/15 Women’s European Champions League. Polish side used to play with HAN Ying (no. 9) in its line-up almost in each round while Turkish champion started this season without its newcomer from China WU Yang (no. 5) who is the best ranked player in WECL.

It is very difficult match for us. We like to win this match to have easier way after group stage. Last year we lost in Istanbul but this time we like to win as last time in Poland. Two strong teams will play together and I hope spectators enjoy in it. Good luck for both teams” stressed Fenerbahce`s manager Gurhan YALDIZ

These two clubs met in 2012/13 ETTU cup final when Turkish side won. They also fought in last season’s WECL semi final and Fenerbahce again was better after two very close encounters (each team won 3:2 away). Zamek is 23 times Polish champion whilst Fenerbahce is Turkish champion and domestic Cup winner in all season since 2008 and also two times ETTU Cup winner. The best Polish club hopes that this season could improve its WECL best result (2013/14 semis).

Both sides opened successfully new season playing at home: Zamek – Szekszard 3:1 Fenerbahce –STROCK 3:0.
