In the semi final of the 2013 Egypt Open, Euro Africa Challenge Series in Cairo top seeded VANG Bora of Turkey will meet Marc DURAN of Spain, whilst in other semi final match Abdel Kader SALIFOU of France will play against Ahmed SALEH of Egypt. In Women’s semi final Rita KERTAI of Hungary will play against Maria DOLGIKH of Russia and Dina MESHREF of Egypt will play against Dana CECHOVA of Czech Republic.

In all-Turkey duel LI Ahmet suffered by the hands of VANG Bora 2:4 (9:11, 12:10, 9:11, 6:11, 11:4, 5:11) and in the upper half of the draw Mohamed SHOUMAN of Egypt lost against Marc DURAN in straight games (4:11, 8:11, 7:11, 5:11). Abdel Kader SALIFOU needed full seven games to overcame host nation representative Ahmed SALEH 4:3 (9:11, 16:14, 7:11, 11:6, 10:12, 11:6, 11:9).

On her way to the semis Rita KERTAI overcame top seeded Yana NOSKOVA of Russia 2;4 (11:5, 13:11, 8:11, 8:11, 9:11, 2:11). Maria DOLGIKH beat Greek’s Angeliki PAPADAKI 0:4 (6:11,8:11,8:11,5:11), Dina MESHREF succeded against Italy’s Debora VIVARELLI 4:0 (11:5, 12:10, 11:9, 11:3) and Dana CECHOVA overcame Anna BLAZHKO of Russia 1:4 (9:11, 10:12, 5:11, 11:9, 5:11)
