Last round match of the regular season of the men’s 1st League between SKST Liberec and Moravska Slavia Brno will be played at the Liberec’s FORUM Shopping Centre on Sunday March 25 at 10 a.m.

The promenade at the shopping centre will be equipped by special table-tennis court and appropriately illuminated in order for visitors to see table tennis in its top conditions.

Organizers intend to set a new spectator record among the official national table tennis matches as they expect more than 15 000 people to pass around the court during the matches. The last year record of Bundesliga the top attended competition in Europe was 4 800 spectators (according to the tischtennis.de).

The attempt is also juicy in regard to the match date –the very same day the World Team Championships begins in Dortmund Germany. Each visitor will receive a professional table-tennis ball. The winning team will draw 4 happy visitors who will get vouchers for free shopping in the Forum Centre.

Once more table tennis becomes one of the most popular sports in the Czech Republic. “We have organised European Youth Championships in Prague in 2009 Senior European Championships in Ostrava a year later and the triplet has been completed last year by the European Veterans Championships” reminds Zbynek SPACEK CTTA President. “It goes without saying we give green light to events like this.”
