In Priego MUSEO DE LA ALMENDRA FRANCISCO MORALES prevailed against UCAM CARTAGENA to secure the opening leg win in the all-Spanish duel in the Europe Cup quarterfinal.

Meng JIAQI was the backbone of the team’s success with two wins. Maria XIAO was the only one to score for UCAM Cartagena while the duel between Marija GALONJA and Silvija ERDELJYI concluded in favor of Priego’s representative.

“Cartagena is a well-known team for us; we play against them every year in the League. We knew it would be tough. But we managed to win and we are very very happy. In my match against Silvia it’s the same; we know each other very well and the match is always 50:50 with her. This time I managed to beat her 3:0 and contribute a point to the team. A tough battle awaits us on February 11th in Cartagena for a place in the semifinals ” said GALONJA.
