One of the main objectives of ETTU URC is to support female match officials and to encourage them to start or continue their career as match officials. Of course there are some challenges to overcome but at the end you can really start a great career enjoy an excellent sport and meet friends all over the world.

Young match officials who are already working in the international field as umpire or referee presented in the webinar their experiences challenges and highlights and clearly stated that the job as match official is more than just being an umpire or referee.

Milena UCHMANOWICZ from Poland started her career a few years ago and the 1st ETTU Female Match Officials project was a boost for her and gave her the chance to work as national umpire already outside of Poland. Patricia Maiz CALLE from Switzerland is now already Blue Badge Umpire and she emphasized the possibility to meet new friends. Kerstin DUCHATZ from Germany just gained the Gold Badge Status and is already well known worldwide. Working in top events the players know already how she will react in specific situations and immediate and clear decisions ensure fair play for both players. Klara DUSKOVA has been referee in top events and together with her baby and husband she was participating in international events. She presented the audience a possible way to combine family and table tennis. Her daughter is already fully involved in table tennis.

61 participants enjoyed the webinar and ETTU URC hopes that many of them will start/continue their career as match official.
