Wins for ASV TT Südtirol and ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly

Italy’s ASV TT Südtirol overcame Austria’s TTC NanoTech Villach in straight matches at home soil in the Third Stage of the Europe Cup Women opening leg. In second match in this Stage French ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly beat Italian ASD Tennistavolo Castel Goffredo.

Deborah VIVARELLI opened the match with the victory over Dragana VIGNJEVIC (11:4 14:12 5:11 11:8). Szandra PERGEL continued in the same rhythm with the win over Ivana MALOBABIC (4:11 12:10 12:10 11:6). In the last match TI Hong Loan succeeded against Anna Zsofia FENYVESI (11:7 11:9 9:11 11:3).

“The match was not as easy as the result predicts. It was very close duel but it was important to fight for each game since it is two legs phase. Szandra struggled a little at the beginning against MALOBABIC but she managed to get into the good rhythm ” stated VIVARELLI.

On Friday clubs will meet again in Austria.

“We look at that match as this one today had not happened. We are aware of new rule and we will give our best to avoid playing three extra games ” said VIVARELLI.

In other match tonight Italian side was the one who suffered. Also by playing at Austria home ASD Tennistavolo Castel Goffredo lost to French ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly in straight matches. Mariia DOLGIKH did not have the answer from LI Samoson’s perfect finish (11:4 11:9 13:15 4:11 1:6). Gaia MONFARDINI lost to Anais SALPIN (5:11 7:11 9:11) and Nicole ARLIA could not stop Isa COK despite the good start (12:10 9:11 8:11 11:13).
