About 11 000 people attend table tennis festival

National Table Tennis Day of Poland

The third edition of the Poland’s National Day of Table Tennis held last weekend attracted about 11 000 people and 1 200 participants in the different tournaments at the National Stadium in Warsaw (PGE Narodowy capacity 58 145). Table Tennis fans have enjoyed watching several competitions including regular rounds of Polish Men’s and Women’s super leagues and youth tournaments. The football pitch of this modern stadium was filled by more than 100 tables with the presence of some table tennis stars like Jorgen PERSSON (Sweden) and Jorg ROSSKOPF (Germany).

“We are very pleased with the attendance and entire organization. We organize the event for the both current and future table tennis fans. We are thankful to the clubs of Men’sand Women’s national championships who accepted our invitation and played their league matches in Warsaw. Their performance enriched and made table tennis more attractive. A novelty of this edition were the workshops and trainings organized by PZTS in which players coaches and parents took part and young ping pong players could meet table tennis stars” stated for PZTS website President of Polish Table Tennis Association (PZTS) Dariusz SZUMACHER.
