Four Juniors in run for title before the final day

After two days of play there are no unbeaten players in Junior Boys Event at the Europe Youth Top 10 in Noordwijk. Csaba ANDRAS of Hungary Samuel KULCZYCKI of Poland and Kay STUMPER of Germany toping the list with 5 wins in six rounds.

 

Csaba ANDRAS managed to reach fifth round unbeaten but Lilian BARDET proved as dangerous adversary then.

 

“I am so sad I lost that match. I beat him every time before but now he changed the tactics. Now I made thinks more complicated. I am high at the seedings and toughest matches are coming tomorrow. The problem is there are too many players too close there is no place for mistake. The competition is completely open so many players who can win gold ” said ANDRAS.

 

Lilian BARDET praised his adversary.

 

“Csaba has very difficult style of play for me. His service game is very dangerous and I was focused how to stop him. I played short balls attacked him and imposed my game ” said BARDET. ”Yesterday I lost against Vincent PICARD 4-0 and it hurt my position very bad. First day is always very difficult. Especially when I am will face ROSSI of Italy who play very well here and both Belgium’s players Olav KOSOLOSKY and Adrien RASSENFOSSE.”

 

In fourth round Carlo ROSSI of Italy seeded at the position no. 7 overcame top seed Vincent PICARD of France in seven thrilling games.

 

“It was not much about tactics. It was only important to be very aggressive and to attack constantly. I kept on fighting and I was better in close finish ” explained ROSSI.

 

Samuel KULCZYCKI of Poland overcame Adrien RASSENFOSSE of Belgium.

 

“We live in the same house and train in the same club in Germany. It is very difficult to play against someone who knows you so well ” said Samuel.

 

Today he also beat Dorian ZHENG of France and Olav KOSOLOSKY of Belgium.
