In the opening match of the day in Women’s Singles 21-years old Tin-Tin HO of Great Britain overcame Anna KIRICHENKO of Finland (11-3 11-5 11-6 11-5).

 

“I enjoyed my chance to play for GB team. There were few spectators here and I wanted to present them good play. I was relaxed ” said HO who won the doubles title at the European 21 Championships earlier this year.

 

In next round she will meet her peer YANG Xiaxoin of Monaco.

 

“It is going to be tough match but there are no easy matches here.”

Men’s Singles Preliminary

 

Two preliminary matches in Men’s Singles concluded with the victory for favorites. Experienced Aleksandar KARAKASEVIC of Serbia beat Andrei PUTUNTICA in five games (11-6 11-8 11-8 8-11 12-10).

 

“Tough match for me but it ended good. I got the opportunity to feel this venue to get into the game. I hope it will help latter. Andrei is a god player young but with experience from playing in Bundesliga for years ” said KARAKASEVIC.

 

 

Ewout OOSTWOUDER of Netherlands overcame Faith KARABAXHAK of Kosovo (11-6 11-1 11-6 11-3).

 

“I did not know much about my adversary but for me it was important to carry my own game and to maintain the focus. That proved as good tactics. I faced no difficulties throughout the match ” said OOSTWOUDER.
