PIGGOTT replaces WILSON in England squad

2019 STAG European Youth Championships, Ostrava, July 7-16,

 

Ben PIGGOT has been called into England’s 2019 STAG European Youth Championships squad in place of the injured Sam WILSON. Table Tennis England announced this change in its team two days prior to the event to be open this Sunday in the Czech city of Ostrava.

 

The Ormesby TTC player was unlucky to miss out on selection for the Cadet Boys’ team, which was filled by automatic qualifiers, and also narrowly missed out on wildcard selection to WILSON and Shayan SIRAJ for the original Junior line-up.

 

England line-up for Ostrava:

 

Cadet Boys: Louis PRICE, Naphong BOONYAPRAPA, Thomas RAYNER

Cadet Girls: Ruby CHAN, Millie ROGOVE, Mari BALDWIN

Junior Boys: Ethan WALSH, Shayan SIRAJ, Ben PIGGOTT

Junior Girls: Denise PAYET, Megan GIDNEY, Mollie PATTERSON, Charlotte BARDSLEY
