Poland at the top of the group

ITTF-European Championships Teams

 

In A4 Group in Men’s Event of the ITTF-European Championships Teams Poland’s Jakub DYJAS WANG Zeng Yi and Marek BADOWSKI beat Turkey 3:0. In previous round they upset the ranking order and beat top seeded Croatia to reach the top of the Group. Croatia is in the position no. two.

 

In the A1 Group Austria suffered by the hands of Hungary again. All three teams in Group 1 has two wins and two defeats Portugal Austria and Hungary but Austria has a best match ratio.

 

Slovakia overcame Belarus 3:1 but that did not change the position of Vadim YARASHENKA Aliaksandr KHANIN and Gleb SHAMRUK. It is the first defeat for third seeded Belarus and they finished opening phase at the top of the Group. Slovakia is second and Ukraine third.

 

Russia overcame Luxembourg in straight matches. Maksim KISELEV Taras MERZLIKIN and Maxim CHAPLYGIN recorded third victory but Greece remained at the top position.

 

In Group B 2 in Men’s Event Italy overcame Kosovo and recorded sixth victory after six encounters. Antonino AMATO Daniele PINTO and Gabiele PICIULIN were on duty in the final match in the Group. In the same Group Israel beat Norway 3:2. Michael TAUBER Omri BEN ARI and Matan SIMON concluded this phase on position no. two.

 

Lithuania beat San Marino 3:0 to record sixth victory in the B4 Group. Matas VILKAS Rimas LESIV and Matias SKUCAS are first in the Group. Estonia beat Montenegro 3:2 and recorded second victory in the Group. At the top of the standings is unbeaten Netherlands.

 

Serbia is unbeaten in Group B. They beat Bosnia and Herzegovina again after they already beat England twice. Switzerland beat Scotland 3:2 after they already beat them 3:1. Swiss team also had one victory ober top seeded Finland.
