Two bronze for England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games

England clinched bronze medals at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in both Men’s and Women’s Team Events.

In the semis both Singapore and England had lost in contests that had gone the full five match distance; England was defeated by Nigeria.

“Certainly it was not easy to play so soon after the disappointment of losing to Nigeria but they are a good team we knew before the tournament started that they were dangerous; the main thing is that we responded we came back that’s important.” Said Paul DRINKHALL

In the final India’s Sharath Kamal ACHANTA Sathiyan GNANASEKARAN and Harmeet DESAI beat Nigerian trio formed by Bode ABIODUN Segun TORIOLA and Olajide OMOTAYO by three matches to nil.
