The Russian group appeared almost in the full string only the girls had to pass it because of the evening practice. It was really joyful hectic and lively. There was a lot of movement around fun mini tables where everyone from a professional player to a noble official showed their abilities. Apart of fun the participants did not forget about business. The main event of the party was a presentation of a new Sponsorship Agreement between Russian Table Tennis Federation and Tamasu Butterfly Japan. President of TTFR Victor BATOV and President of Tamusu Butterfly Mr.YAMADA signed a 4-year agreement which opens new perspectives in the mutual relationships. The organizers are highly satisfied with the opening day of the LIEBHERR 2012 World Team Championships. Until today there has never been a registered number of teams of 120 men’s and 92 women’s teams. And Dortmund is an ideal location. “The State the Ruhr Area and Dortmund are hospitable open-minded sports enthusiasts and famous for their organization ability ” she explained. The objective is now to make the tournament a once in lifetime event for the active players for the leaders and the public. Sabine LOOS Chief Executive Officer of Westfallenhallen reports an impressive number. With a look of the media feedback she assessed: “454 media representatives from 31 countries is a terrific outcome”. Noticeable are the transmission time especially that of Japan and China. “These LIEBHERR World Championship are the Event of the Year for us maybe of the decade.” Most especially with a glimpse of the opening day’s well occupied tribune DTTB President Thomas WEIKERT evaluated: “Dortmund is undoubtedly the right venue. The German Association expects 50 000 to 60 000 spectators altogether during the 8 days of the tournament. “On the forthcoming weekend we will be happy of a fully occupied Westfallenhalle” WEIKERT reported. The hall was already filled well this Sunday morning. Around 5500 guests were in the hall approximately 1700 kids and youths who joined the “Free Tickets Under 18” promotion of the German Association DTTB. “If the sports results will go well the hall might be even full on Friday too ” said WEIKERT. “The DTTB is notwithstanding thankful to the State of NRW and the Westfallenhallen for their support: Without them there is no possibility to host these LIEBHERR 2012 World Team Championships”..
