In agreement with the ITTF, the Thai association and Butterfly the little lady from Thailand was taken under the wings of the Werner SCHLAGER Academy in Austria. For now more than three years Tamolwan KHETKUEN lives and trains in Schwechat at the Werner SCHLAGER Academy. She’s playing for the WSA partner Club SVS STRÖCK, and she is managed by Schwechat on her way to the top. The 16 years old WSA “baby” KHETKUEN has now been placed in the world rankings from position 572 to 284 in the general and is already ranked at number 30 in the under-18 ranking. And just now she received the confirmation of the ITTF for the qualification for the Youth Olympic Games (17th to 28th August 2014) in Nanjing, China. An outstanding success for Tamolwan KHETKUEN and the coaching staff of the Werner Schlager Academy, headed by the WSA women head coaches Aya UMEMURA and Tamara BOROŠ, who care in a motherly way about the girl from Far East. In a gruelling final that was both physically and mentally exhausting she overcame Austria’s LIU Jia the no.12 seed to secure the top prize. HU Limei succeeded in six games ( 11-9, 9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-6, 14-12). It was for LIU Jia her tenth appearance in an ITTF World Tour Women’s Singles final, it was the sixth time she had finished in runners up spot.
