We have a big talent junior age Nandor ECSEKI who was the most successful player in the Hungarian Championship and this year the project for school children is evolving with 260 children every week. This program caught the attention of Hungarian Olympic Committee.” Krisztina SZVITAN always emphasizes how important is the support of community in this Hungarian city: “We think we are on a good way where is with us one really strong club (Budaörsi Sport Club) with the President Gergely SOMLYÓ and a really strong City of Budaörs with the leaders who love and support sports. This is the key for us for our goal that we want to be more productive and we all know we are able to get more done in WECL and in every case.” Budaorsi 2i SC plays its last WECL game this season against Linz AG Froschberg at home (December 20th 19h30 CET). After recommendation of the coaches present at the “European coaches meeting” which took place in Berlin during the German Open on November 15th the members of this advisory group are: Michel BLONDEL Neven CEGNAR Michel GADAL Peter SARTZ Dirk SCHIMMELPFENNING Richard PRAUSE and as conductor ETTU Deputy President Ivo-Goran MUNIVRANA. The advisory coaches group will have its first meeting to prepare a draft of ETTU’s Development Program for 2014-2016 on the 25th of January 2014.

For the first time an ETTU conference dedicates time for para table tennis with speaker Neil ROBINSON (GB Paralympics coach) speaking on how to work closely with disabled squads and as a coach why it is important in today’s society to be competent in coaching athletes with a disability. Paul HUGHES Table Tennis Wales psychologist explores what coaches need to implement and how to get the best from their teams/squads and their programs. Final sessions (theory and practice) by LIU YanJun from Austria on technical advances in the game with discussion on new shots tactic and techniques emerging in today’s world game and how coaches from Europe are implementing these exciting changes. MULTI-BALL training research done at the University of Thrace (Greece) will be presented in the final session by Michail KATSIKADELIS from Greece. Ryan JENKINS said : “It was important to show that a small association like Wales could organize and invite Europe to our Capital Cardiff . This kind of meeting with the coaches is very important for us and the ETTU should think of hosting more regional conferences”.
