I want to specially thank Grigory VLASOV. I must say it is not the first time he gets into hot water and goes out a winner. He has proved it many times that he is a real fighter. Tomas POLANSKY clinched the title at the home soil
LEVENKO clinched silver bronze for SEYFRIED Top seeded in the Junior Boys Singles Event at the JOOLA European Top 10 in Prague Tomas POLANSKY was spared from agonizing wait for the last round to be sure he is the winner. Already in the opening round of the day in round 7 host nation ace secured the title in Czech Republic by recording the seventh victory at the tournament against Cristian PLETEA of Romania. Andreas LEVENKO of Austria is second and Joe SEYFRIED of France is third. The winner of the Top 10 tournament in 2013 as cadet repeated the success by clinching the top prize as junior. Earlier this year he won silver in Team’s Event and Mixed Doubles Event at the European Championships in Zagreb as well as bronze in Singles. He was also three times champion at the European championships as cadet and once he won silver. In 2014 he won bronze in doubles also at the Continental gathering. His good results did not go unnoticed. From August he is the member of Germany’s 1. FC Saarbrucken. “I made a great step forward. I am very happy the way that the things are going now. Having the opportunity to play and to work with the top players in Bundesliga is wonderful thing ” said POLANSKY. Tomas was very happy with his performance in Prague as well. “I was challenged in two matches but for the rest I think I did not faced great obstacles. In the first match against Tobias HIPPLER of Germany I was little nervous. It is always hard to play the opening match at the tournaments. In addition I was not used to the venue and playing in front of home crowd added some extra pressure ” admitted POLANSKY. The pressure did not eased on in the next duel against Irvin BERTRAND. “It is always hard for me to play against him. Only at the European championships I beat him in straight games all other duels were much longer. I was down 0:2 and 4:7 when I called for time out. It proved to be good decision. Everything changed after that. He lost his momentum; I played much better.” Carlos VEDRIEL of Spain was next in line. “It was not very close match. I beat him at the World Junior Championships and I knew what to do ” said POLANSKY.” The most important and worthy win was against Andreas LEVENKO. We were both unbeaten up to that point and he proved he is in splendid shape. We were the major contenders to the title. He managed to put every ball on the table from the beginning of the match. When I beat him it was very important for me.” Alexandru MANOLE of Romania lost recently against POLANSKY at the European Championships. “He does not like playing against me but I love to play against him ” laughed Tomas.” After that victory I had to play against Rares SIPOS the last match on the second day. It was very hard and exhausting match. Sipos was two games up and he played fantastic match. I had to work hard to level the score and after that I played ball for ball. I succeeded and that was very important win. I made it in a very hard match; went full distance but it gave me extra confidence for the ultimate day. I started as unbeaten player.” However the beginning of the third day was by no mean easier. “Both Cristian PLETEA and me started very bad. We were cautious and we just took care to make as fewer mistakes as it was possible. I got confused; I lost the game because I gave too much easy balls… We forgot about tactics we just wanted to play safe and to try to win.” The victory in the seventh round against PLETEA meant POLANSKY secured the crown. The duels against Aliaksandr KHANIN of Belarus and Joe SEYFRIED of France could not change anything. “Against KHANIN I won the opening game 11:0 and that is dangerous situation for me. The lack of motivation cost me a lot few times. That is why KHANIN managed to find his way back into the match. Luckily I woke up before it was late and won.” In the last duel against Joe SEYFRIED of France POLANSKY had a shaky start. “I had a problem with his service game. When I managed to receive better I managed to control the duel.” Next stops for POLANSKY are the European Championships in Budapest and World Junior Championships in cape Town. Junior Boys Event Round 1 Tomas POLANSKY (Czech Republic) – Tobias HIPPLER (Germany) 4:2 (11:7 9:11 11:7 7:11 11:6 11:6) Joe SEYFRIED (France) – Irvin BERTRAND (France) 4:2 (11:6 9:11 11: 8 11:7 2:11 14:12) Aliaksandr KHANIN (Belarus) – Carlos VEDRIEL (Spain) 1:4 (11:7 10:12 6:11 6:11 6:11) Cristian PLETEA (Romania) – Andreas LEVENKO (Austria) 1:4 (10:12 6:11 11:8 9:11 8:11) Rares SIPOS (Romania) – Alexandru MANOLE (Romania) 4:1 (11:8 11:9 10:12 11:7 12:10) Round 2 Tomas POLANSKY (Czech Republic) – Irvin BERTRAND (France) 4:2 (9:11 9:11 13:11 11:6 12:10 11:9) Joe SEYFRIED (France) – Carlos VEDRIEL (Spain) 4:2 (12:10 11:9 8:11 11:5 8:11 11:5) Aliaksandr KHANIN (Belarus) – Andreas LEVENKO (Austria) 1:4 (11:7 7:11 12:14 6:11 8:11) Cristian PLETEA (Romania) – Alexandru MANOLE (Romania) 4:2 (15:13 4:11 10:12 11:5 11:5 11:9) Rares SIPOS (Romania) – Tobias HIPPLER (Germany) 2:4 (12:14 10:12 15:13 6:11 6:11 11:4 9:11) Round 3 Tomas POLANSKY (Czech Republic) – Carlos VEDRIEL (Spain) 4:1 (11:8 7:11 11:6 11:8 11:6) Joe SEYFRIED (France) – Andreas LEVENKO (Austria) 2:4 (12:10 9:11 11:4 9:11 8:11 7:11) Aliaksandr KHANIN (Belarus) – Alexandru MANOLE (Romania) 4:0 (11:9 11:9 11:7 11:7) Cristian PLETEA (Romania) – Rares SIPOS (Romania) 4:1 (11:6 11;3 11:9 10:12 12:10) Irvin BERTRAND (France) – Tobias HIPPLER (Germany) 4:1 (9:11 11:5 11:4 11:6 11:4) Round 4

Tania PLAIAN of Romania finished second and Ekaterina ZIRONOVA is third. The last round duel between Anastasia KOLISH and CHEN Xingtai of Azerbaijan was the re-run of the European Championships clash in Singles Event in Round of 16. “In Zagreb I was so sad. CHEN Xingtai halted my progress much earlier then I expected. I came there with big hopes but the team of Azerbaijan surprised us. I won gold with my team and silver in Doubles but I regret I could not go further in singles. Here I had my revenge ” said KOLISH. At least Anastasia was ready for the challenge in Prague. “I let her play her game in Zagreb. Here I surprised her. I changed the rhythm; I used a lot of variations and spins. She just did not know what to do to stop me. She could not see what is coming. I left no space to my adversary to beat me ” said KOLISH. Also the duel against Tania PLAIAN of Romania was the difficult one. “I was 3:1 in the lead but she recovered to level. I lost two games by narrowest margins. She put me under severe test. But I won it.” On her way to the title Anastasia lost two matches. One of them was against Polish player Anna WEGRZYN. “Last time we played against each other I won 3:1 but here she caught me on the wrong foot. Also I lost against ZHOU Chuyi of Azerbaijan. Truls MOREGARD conquered Prague
Vladimir SIDORENKO second and Maksim GREBNEV third at JOOLA Top 10 Truls MOREGARD of Sweden is the newly crowned champion of the Cadet Boys Event at the 2016 JOOLA European Top 10 in Prague. Vladimir SIDORENKO of Russia is second and Maksim GREBNEV third after three days of fierce battles. The winner of the event was decided in the last match. Both MOREGARD and SIDORENKO started the last round with seven wins and one defeat. After nail biting seven games the well-deserved victory went to Swede. Top seeded SIDORENKO had his consolation in silver. MOREGARD is the member of Sweden’s TTCLM member Eslovs Al and he also compete in the second division for the same club. This year at the European Championships in Zagreb he won three silver medals in singles doubles and team’s events. “In Prague I was nervous at the beginning against Jan VALENTA but I beat him. In next round I expect the closer match against WANG Chenxi of Azerbaijan since we already met in Zagreb. When I won in straight game it was relief “ said TRULS. Next on line was Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK of Austria. “I had never played against him. I did not know what to expect. Especially his service game worried me. At the end he failed to put the pressure on me. I concluded that duel in straight games. My confidence boosted after the match against Bilal HAMACHE of France in fourth round. He was unbeaten day before and he made few upsets on his way to the fourth round. Against Vincent PICARD of France I expected harder challenge because I always had problem with his game. It was not a case this time. His coach complained about my service game and there were a lot of talking in between points but it ended with my 4:0 victory.” Maksim GREBNEV of Russia also failed to stop Truls. “That was important win for me.” The only match Truls lost was against Carlo ROSSI of Italy. “I was 3:1 up before I felt the pain in the knee. It affected my game but I managed to win in seven games. However in next match against Lilian BARDET of France I was not at the top of the game. I calculated and I decided to save some energy for the last match at the tournament against the top seed.” The last match against SIDORENKO was direct clash for the title. “I study his game set the tactics but I had to change it. My first plan was to play spin on his forehand but then I went for backhand and I tried to stay as safe as I could. We went full distance in very nice clash. I won it in big style.” Trules will go to Shanghai where he will be part of the Cadet World Challenge. “Last year I won silver medal after unfortunate defeat against Chinese player I had 3:2 and 11:10 before I lost in the final. I also won the medal in Doubles and Mixed Doubles…I hope this year it will be better. We have great team and I expect good results.” Cadet Boys Event Round 1 Vladimir SIDORENKO (Russia) – Maksim GREBNEV (Russia) 4:3 (11:8 3:11 9:11 11:8 5:11 11:9 11:8) Truls MOREGARD (Sweden) – Jan VALENTA (Czech Republic) 4:0 (11:4 11:9 13:11 11:6) Carlo ROSSI (Italy) – WANG Chenxi (Azerbaijan) 4:0 (11:8 11:6 11:6 11:6) Lilian BARDET (France) – Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK (Austria) 4:1 (11:8 8:11 11:5 119 11:7) Vincent PICARD (France) – Bilal HAMACHE (France) 1:4 (14:16 6:11 8:11 11:8 5:11) Round 2 Vladimir SIDORENKO (Russia) – Jan VALENTA (Czech Republic) 4:3 (10:12 8:11 11:9 11:4 9:11 11:6) Truls MOREGARD (Sweden) – WANG Chenxi (Azerbaijan) 4:0 (11:5 11:6 11:3 12:10) Carlo ROSSI (Italy) – Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK (Austria) 1:4 (9:11 8:11 10:12 11:8 6:11) Lilian BARDET (France) – Bilal HAMACHE (France) 3:4 (11:7 8:11 4:11 11:7 6;11 11:5 7:11) Vincent PICARD (France) – Maksim GREBNEV (Russia) 2:4 (11:6 4:11 5:11 9:11 11:6 7:11) Round 3 Vladimir SIDORENKO (Russia) – WANG Chenxi (Azerbaijan) 4:0 (11:8 11:7 11:6 11:3) Truls MOREGARD (Sweden) – Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK (Austria) 4:0 (11:5 11:7 11:7 11:7) Carlo ROSSI (Italy) – Bilal HAMACHE (France) 2:4 (9:11 5:11 11:5 11:7 8:11 8:11) Lilian BARDET (France) – Vincent PICARD (France) 4:3 (5:11 11:7 11:7 9:11 11:5 12:14 11:9 11:9) Jan VALENTA (Czech Republic) – Maksim GREBNEV (Russia) 2:4 (10:12 5:11 11:7 7:11 11:8 10:12) Round 4 Vladimir SIDORENKO (Russia) – Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK (Austria) 4:1 (12:10 7:11 11:8 11:9 12:10) Truls MOREGARD (Sweden) – Bilal HAMACHE (France) 4:1 (11:8 11:6 8:11 11:9 15:13) Carlo ROSSI (Italy) – Vincent PICARD (France) 4:2 (12:10 11:4 11:2 9:11 9:11 11:5) Lilian BARDET (France) – Maksim GREBNEV (Russia) 2:4 (11:8 4:11 10:12 5:11 11:6 4:11) Jan VALENTA (Czech Republic) – WANG Chenxi (Azerbaijan) 0:4 (9:11 9:11 7:11 6:11) Round 5 Vladimir SIDORENKO (Russia) – Bilal HAMACHE (France) 4:2 (11:7 8:11 11:9 8:11 11:7 11:7) Truls MOREGARD (Sweden) – Vincent PICARD (France) 4:0 (11:3 15:13 11:5 11:9) Carlo ROSSI (Italy) – Maksim GREBNEV (Russia) 1:4 (7:11 12:10 3:11 7:11 9:11) Lilian BARDET (France) – Jan VALENTA (Czech Republic) 4:0 (11:5 11:7 11:2 11:5) Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK (Austria) – WANG Chenxi (Azerbaijan) 1:4 (11:8 5:11 8:11 7:11 6:11) Round 6 Vladimir SIDORENKO (Russia) – Vincent PICARD (France) 3:4 (5:11 13:11 2:11 11:3 7:11 11:6 6:11) Truls MOREGARD (Sweden) – Maksim GREBNEV (Russia) 4:0 (11:8 11:8 11:8 12:10) Carlo ROSSI (Italy) – Jan VALENTA (Czech Republic) 4:3 (11:7 7:11 9:11 7: 11 11:5 11:4 13:11) Lilian BARDET (France) – WANG Chenxi (Azerbaijan) 4:0 (11:7 11:8 11:5 11:6) Bilal HAMACHE (France) – Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK (Austria) 4:1 (11:9 11:4 11:9 8:11 12:10) Round 7 Vladimir SIDORENKO (Russia) – Lilian BARDET (France) 4:2 (8:11 11:7 15:13 8:11 11:8 11:9) Truls MOREGARD (Sweden) – Carlo ROSSI (Italy) 4:3 (11:7 11:8 9:11 11:9 10:12 7:11 11:5) Vincent PICARD (France)- Jan VALENTA (Czech Republic) 4:0 (11:5 13:11 11:8 11:6)
