The match was decided in fifth game of the fifth match. Carole GRUNDISCH gave hosts the lead with the victory over WANG Ting Ting. However NI was not in the mood for charity tonight. She overcame XIN Liu in the second match whilst in the decisive one she beat GRUNDISCH. Ana GARCIA was in charge for the third point. Orenburg targets its fifth TTCLM title
Fakel Gazoprom Coach Vladimir ENDOLOV about 1st final match against Borussia Dusseldorf (Sunday May 13th) Reigning TTCLM champion Fakel Gazprom Orenburg is determined to lift this prestigious trophy fifth time in its history but Borussia Dusseldorf wants to improve their record to 11 titles. First leg of 2017/18 final will be held in Germany this Sunday (May 13th 13:00 CET) while second game is scheduled for May 18th. “The upcoming 1st leg final in Düsseldorf is expected to be very intense for both teams. ETTU / ITTF Woman Coaches Seminar 2018 ETTU / ITTF Woman Coaches Seminar 2018 held in the Swedish city of Halmstad during the LIEBHERR 2018 World Team Table Tennis Championships gathered 20 coaches from 15 countries. Professor Neven CEGNAR the ETTU Development Manager has stressed that Seminar fulfilled his expectations from nice accommodation in the Hotel Good Morning to classes in the Halmstad Arena. The city of Zagreb will host 2020 European Youth Championships
Following the Executive Board meeting in Halmstad on Friday 4th May Croatia TTA has been awarded the 2020 EYC in the city of Zagreb. “After having hosted the 2016 European Youth Championships we are very satisfied and pleased to go back to Zagreb for the 2020 STAG European Youth Championships. Good venue with the Panorama hotel at walking distance and experienced organisers the Croatia Table Tennis Association is showing great support for European youth table tennis. And I must compliment the professional level and content of the presentation of the bid by Danijela POSPIS accompanied by Zoran PRIMORAC ” said ETTU President Ronald KRAMER . With a smile President KRAMER added: “If the 2020 STAG EYC is going to be as good as this presentation we will enjoy an excellent event in Zagreb!” After the great Event in 2016 there is no no doubt about it. “The Croatian Table Tennis Association is proud and grateful to the ETTU for its trust and we will endeavor to trust and justify it as it was in 2016 when Zagreb was an excellent host to the European Youth Championships. We are looking forward to the coming of many table tennis players the head of ETTU and ITTF and the entire table tennis family to once again enjoy the beauties of Croatia and Zagreb. Following the successful end of the LIEBERR 2018 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships on the behalf of the ITTF Executive Committee Secretary General Raul CALIN annonced the appointed members for the Nominations Committee 2018-2020 as decided in the Executive Committee held on 6th of May. New season of China Table Tennis College
Summer School of this year begins from 5th July to 1st August in Shanghai As in previous years the China Table Tennis College in Shanghai offers a very attractive opportunity for young table tennis people. It is an introduction to Chinese Table Tennis language and culture. China Table Tennis College is the first professional institution of table tennis in the world which jointly established by Shanghai Municipal Government and Chinese Table Tennis Association and is located in Shanghai with teaching training scientific research and foreign exchange. It also has degree education of undergraduate master Ph.D. as well as the mission of cultivating outstanding youths. Every year they hold Summer School for foreigners. The Summer School of this year begins from 5th July to 1st August in Shanghai China. Application deadline is 15th May. Students will have table tennis training Chinese language courses traditional Chinese culture experience and extra-curricular practice like sightseeing tours etc. The event aims to improve the technical level of table tennis players from various countries and expand their horizons to better promote the common development of world table tennis. Participants will be housed in double-rooms at overseas students’ apartment on campus. Rooms are newly furnished and have a private bathroom and laundry facilities. Classrooms and table tennis training hall for the program are located on campus so participants will be able to walk from their residence to their classes and training hall.

2019 European Under 21 Championships in city of Gondomar
European Table Tennis Union is pleased to announce that the Table Tennis Federation of Portugal will host the third edition of the European Under 21 Championships in the city of Gondomar. The Events will start Thursday 7th and will continue until Sunday 10th March 2019. „We are looking forward to revisit Gondomar after the ITTF Europe Top-16 Cup being held in the same venue in 2016 the Multiusos de Gondomar Coração de Ouro. The great experience of the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation in the past five years is certainly helpful when now organising in the same venue a bigger event. Since the 2014 TMS European Championships held in Lisbon this very active Federation has made major progress at the level of organising events. Aware of the enthusiastic support of the city authorities I am more than convinced that we will have great Under 21 Championships in Gondomar in 2019. It was not without reason that Gondomar was European City of Sports in 2017….” stated ETTU President Ronald KRAMER. Portuguese TTF already enjoyed great success as event organiser and FPTM President Pedro MOURA is looking forward to another great challenge. “The Portuguese TTF is very proud and honored to be awarded with the organisation of the 2019 European Under 21 Championships. Since 2014 Portugal has been receiving the most importants ETTU events being this European Championships one of the few that we still did not organise. Serbia caused major upset against England
ITTF-European Championships Teams In the first stage of the ITTF-European Championships Teams Serbia created the major upset by beating England. Only four days after England faced Sweden in the match for the medal at the LIEBHERR ITTF World Championships they flew to Serbia’s town of Pozega to meet their adversaries in Groups B in Men’s Event. In World Championships those two teams were not in the same Division; whilst England was playing major role in the Championships Division Serbia struggled to survive in the Second. However the outcome of the match was far from expecting regarding their positions in Halmstad. Aleksandar KARAKASEVIC beat Paul DRINKHALL by narow margin 3:2 (11:9 6:11 11:9 7:11 11:13) to give Serbia dream start. Zolt PETE continued in the same pace against Liam PITCHFORD 3:2 (12:14 11:9 4:11 12:10 11:9) whilst Marko PETKOV overcame Samuel WALKER. It was first match for Serbia in the Group whilst Engleand already preaviled against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
