Championships will be held from November 26th to December 3rd The 2017 ITTF World Junior Championships commences on Sunday November 26th in Riva del Garda Italy with Team events. Last year`s Championships held in Cape Town South Africa brought some unexpected results. China finished with just one gold medal while Japan dominated winning three titles followed by Korea Republic with two. Romania won the girls’ doubles title for the first time in its history. Junior Boy`s Team event starts on Sunday November 26th by Stage 1 matches. Twelve clubs in total will compete in both Stage 1 and Stage 2. Good start for French clubs in ETTU Cup
The opening leg of the Men’s and Women’s ETTU Cup started impressivly for the French Clubs. In Men’s Event Vaillante Sports Angers TT beat in straight matches Spanish Arteal Tenis De Mesa whilst in another French-Spanish duel Istres Tennis de Table beat DKV Borges Vall by same margin. In Slovakia SK Vydranystarted good at home soil but Hontianske Trstany/Dudince recovered to win the match – 3:1. SF SKK El Nino Praha showed no mercy in Croatia and beat STK Starr Varaždin in straight matches. In women’s ETTU Cup TTC Kazan was streched to full distance against Romania’s ACS Dumbravita in Russia. Izabela LUPULESKU was the player who caused most of the damage to hosts.
