2018 World Junior Championships in Bendigo  Japan and China justified their positions to book their places in the finals of the Junior Boys and Girls Teams Event at the 2018 World Junior Championships in Bendigo Australia.  In Junior Girls Event Japan the top seeds recorded a three-nil win in opposition to Russia the no.5 seeds. The player who gave her adversary a hardest time was Russia’s Mariia TAILAKOVA. In the opening match of the contest against Russia she extended Miyu NAGASAKI the full five games distance only experiencing defeat by the minimal two point margin in the decider (11-6 2-11 11-9 12-14 14-12). Yumeno SOMA beat Anastasia KOLISH (13-11 11-3 11-5) before Satsuki ODO concluded matters by defeating Kristina KAZANTSEVA (11-5 11-3 9-11 11-2).  China beat Korean Republic Chinese Taipei the no.2 seeds finished in fifth place ahead of Romania Hong Kong and the United States; Romania commenced play as the no.7 seeds Hong Kong the no.3 seeds and the United States in the position where they started the no.8 seeds. India finished in ninth place followed by Serbia France Brazil Belarus New Zealand Canada and Australia.  In Junior Boys Teams Event China the top seeds halted the progress of France the no.4 seeds a three-nil success being the victory margin. France proved more than worthy opponents; XU Yingbin beat Leo de NODREST (13-11 11-8 11-6) to give the top seeds the ideal start. YU Heyi followed suit by overcoming Irvin BERTRAND (16-14 7-11 11-4 11-9) before XIANG Peng accounted for a determined Bastien REMBERT in five games (11-9 11-13 9-11 11-3 11-7) to seal the win.  Meanwhile with honor at stake Romania secured fifth place followed by the United States Iran and India. Selecting Cristian PLETEA Rares SIPOS and Cristian CHIRITA throughout Romania the no.6 seeds recorded a three-nil win in opposition to the no.5 seeds the Indian combination of Manush Utpalbhai SHAH Manav Vikash THAKKAR and Snehit SURAVAJJU before overcoming the no.8 seeds the United States outfit comprising Sharon ALGUETTI Kanak JHA and Nicholas TIO. ITTF Parkinson’s World Table Tennis Championships announced for 2019
“Health” is the focal point of the latest initiative launched by the ITTF through the ITTF Foundation: namely that of creating and supporting the first ever ITTF Parkinson’s World Table Tennis Championships set to take place between 11-13 October 2019 in Pleasantville New York. The new project will form part of the 6th Pillar of the ITTF Foundation that promotes health through table tennis with this first event aimed at raising awareness of Parkinson’s Disease and improving the lives of those diagnosed with it. “PLAYING TABLE TENNIS MADE ME FEEL 50% BETTER” For international music composer Nenad Bach table tennis has been the key to regaining his ability to play the guitar and pursue his passion for music once more. “I stopped playing the guitar five years after I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s but then I started playing table tennis and I felt 50% better. Now I am playing the guitar again. “The idea behind this Championship is to help as many people around the world as possible to continue living with Parkinson’s Disease and to be happy productive members of the society. Support Alexa Szvitacs suffering life threatening illness

Carole GRUNDISCH has confirmed Metz’s victory as she overcame Merzedesz NAGYVARADI in straight games.  Thanks to 3:1 away win on October 27th Etival Clairefontaine had a big advantage before the conluding match against same opponent UCAM Cartagena. This time French club won 3:2 after many turning points. Spanish side led 2:1 thanks to Silvia ERDELYI DE SOUZA who reversed the score from 1-2 to 3-2 against Maria DOLGIKH. It was long and hard battle between two strong defensive players. Three upsets were seen tonight November 30th: first in Lisbon where Sporting overcame reigning champion and 11-time winner Borussia Dusseldorf; second in Polish city of Grodzisk Mazowiecki where Roskilde prevailed against Bogoria; third in the French city of Angers where host side met the 2012 semi-finalist Saarbrucken. The 2012 TTCLM runner-up UMMC has defeated the 2017 ETTU Cup runner-up Stella Sport La Romagne to secure top spot of Group B joining their compatriots from Orenburg as the group stage winners.  Nigerian player Quadri ARUNA provided two points for last year semi-finalist Sporting beating Anton KALLBERG and Sharath Kamal ACHANTA. Diogo KARVALHO secured victory for the host side as he overcame KALLBERG in the fifth encounter. The best Borussia’s player Timo BOLL has been placed at no. 3 in the line-up and beat Bode ABIODUN in four games while second point for German team came from ACHANTA against CARVALHO. German player beat both Petr KORBEL and Tomas TREGLER who lost his game against Can AKKUZU. Simon BELIK overcame Tristan FLORE after full five games of the third encounter. French club has improved its Group A win-loss record to 4-1 while Czech club continues without any victory.  SPG Walter Wels upset Dekorglass Dzialdowo and now all teams in Group B have two wins at least.
