In the semifinal of the European Champions Legue Men in the opening leg FC Saarbrücken TT will meet Borussia Düsseldorf in Saarbrücken on Sunday and the return leg is scheduled for 3rd March in Düsseldorf. „We are looking forward to a special TTCLM semifinal against 1. FC Saarbrücken. It´s the final of last season and also the final of German Cup 2022 and German Championships 2021. So we played several times important matches against Saarbrücken in the past months both teams know each other very well. And both teams are on the same level so I expect a hard fight and the decision probably will be found in the Golden Match. The current shape of my team is quite well but I hope that we can rise up the level anyway for these duel. Timo needs a few more matches to be on top level again after his injury from Houston. We won so far all matches in TTCLM this season so we will play against Saarbrücken with self-confidence and of course we want to reach the final ” explained coach Danny HEISTER. Anton KALLBERG is playing in superb shape this season. „We are happy to be in the semis again. But our big aim is to defend the title. So we will do everything to win the duel against Saarbrücken which will be a very hard clash. I think I played very well in my last matches and I feel confident for the upcoming semifinal. My teammates are also in a good shape so we will be prepared for the duel. Important will be that all of us stay healthy. The action in the European Champions League Men semi final continues on Sunday with the clash between to big rivals in Germany -1 FC Saarbrücken TT and Borussia Düsseldorf; firstly in Saarbrücken and then in Düsseldorf on 3rd March. Tomorrow’s match hosts has no illusions how difficult encounter they can expect. “We all know what it means to play against Borussia Dusseldorf club which is so strong and with such fantastic record. They are here to defend last year’s title after all. On the other side no one can underestimated our quality and our willing to win. We want our revenge for last year’s final ” said Darko JORGIC. There is no hidden aces or some some big secrets for neither of clubs. “They have superb players on all four positions – we know each other very well.” So far it was a very good 2022 for 1 FC Saarbrücken TT. “We commenced this year in superb style from a very first day of January. We clinched the title in German Cup so I think that the pressure is now on our adversaries. Borussia Düsseldorf is the favorite and for them it is must win situation. Of course our ambitions are nothing less. We want to beat them again and to reach the final of the Champions League ” stated JORGIC. In the opening leg of the TAMANNEFTEGAS Europe Cup Men semifinal after fierce fight Solex Consult TTC Wiener Neustadt recorded home soil victory against CTT Borges 3:2. Frane KOJIC put great effort; Croatia’s player won both his matches and pushed Solex Consult TTC Wiener Neustadt into decisive clash between Tomas KONECNY and Marc DURAN which went to Austria’s side. Guests from Spain showed brave face. In the opening duel KOJIC beat Marc DURAN in straight games and on his second exit to the table won the close thriller against Viktor BRODD. n the final of the TAMANNEFTEGAS European Champions League Women TTC Berlin eastside will play against KTS Enea Siarkopol Tarnobrzeg. In today’s second leg of the semifinal Polish club beat Linz AG Froschberg. In the opening leg it was 3:2 for Austria’s side. The fierce battle we already have seen in the opening leg continued tonight. YU Fu beat Sofia POLCANOVA like she did in the first match to give KTS Enea Siarkopol Tarnobrzeg a dream start. POLCANOVA managed to get into the rhythm in the third game but it was to late. Suthasini SAWETTABUT was two games down against HAN Ying before she recovered to win the match. In decisive game it was 6:1. The duel between LIU Jia and YANG Xiaoxin was close five games battle previously but tonight YANG served her revenge in furious rhythm. LIU won only one game. Spanish UCAM Cartagena T.M beat TTC Novi Sad 3:1 whilst ALCL TT Grand Quevilly needed one match less to overcame ASD Quattro Mori in Italy. Three times winners of the Europe Cup Spanish UCAM Cartagena T.M was in full speed in Novi Sad. After Aneta MAKSUTI made home-crowd proud by overcoming Maria XIAO LI Fen turned the course of the match. LI beat Tijana JOKIC and in the fourth match prevailed against Aneta MAKSUTI. Fakel Gazprom Orenburg secured opening leg win in Verkhnaya Pyshma
In the European Champions League Men opening leg of the semi final Fakel Gazprom Orenburg overcame TTSC UMMC in Verkhnaya Pyshma. LIN Yun Ju was the backbone of the club’s success with two wins. In the opening match Hugo CALDERANO needed some time to warm up against Jonathan GROTH but when he set up in gear after first game it was one way street. The important opening match victory made hosts’ job extremely difficult and put them under severe pressure. Taipei’s LIN Yun Ju widener the gap after he beat Aleksandr TIUTRIUMOV and by doing so LIN showed no mercy. Tomislav PUCAR faced must-win situation against Aleksandr SHIBAEV in order to keep TTSC UMMC in game; and that is exactly what he did. Croatia’s player beat SHIBAEV in the match that only in second game did not go PUCAR’s way. On his second exit to the table Jonathan GROTH managed to create a exciting performance but LIN’s determination was not to be denied. He sealed the semi final opening leg victory for Orenburg. The week of fantastic Champions League clashes
This week brings us fantastic clashes in the semifinal of the European Champions Legue Men. For the place in the ultimate stage first we have all-Russia duel between TTSC UMMC and Fakel Gazprom Orenburg the opening leg is scheduled for Wednesday in Verkhnaya Pyshma whilst the return leg will be played in Orenburg on 4th March. The other match is all-German clash where FC Saarbrücken TT will meet Borussia Düsseldorf on firstly in Saarbrücken on Sunday and then in Düsseldorf on 3rd March. Hosts of the opening leg praised the adversaries. “Emotionally it’s harder to play against Fakel-Gazprom because they have the strongest team in Europe now. They won the Champions League many times yes they are very strong opponents for us. We played well got into the semi-finals without any problems so now we expect to show a good game to do our best. we hope to do everything we can and expect a good result ” said Zoran PRIMORAC. There is no secrets between two Russia’s clubs and for sure there is no lack of motivation. “Our team is in a good mood. The players have their final training sessions before the TTCLM semi-final opening leg and we are ready for the TTSC UMMC ” said TTC Fakel-Gazprom coach Vladimir ENDOLOV.
