Tears of joy for Georgina POTA

CCB Europe Top 16 Cup Montreux

Hungary’s Georgina POTA needed only four games to reach the quarterfinal of the CCB Europe Top 16 Cup Montreux but regardless the result she ended in tears after the straight games victory over NI Xia Lian of Luxembourg.

“She beat me like million times before. When I saw the draw yesterday I was so afraid. In previous few matches I had no chance. It is so difficult to play against her. You can not be prepared for her strokes because there are no players in Europe with that style with who you can practice with ” explained POTA.

Dimitrij OVTCHAROV was in fast lane like his compatriot one match earlier. In four games OVTCHAROV overcame KOU Lei of Ukraine (2:11 9:11 6:11 6:11).

“I was well prepared. I am very happy with my performance since it is the first match at the tournament. I do not think KOU was on the top of his game ” said OVTCHAROV.
