Linz AG Froschberg overcame TT Moravsky Krumlov on their first match this season

In Czech Republic in their opening match of the Champions League Austria’s Linz AG Froschberg overcame TT Moravsky Krumlov in straight matches.

At the start Valeriia SHCHERBATYKH lost to Suthasini SAWETTABUT in four games (7:11 11:9 9:11 12:14). Sofia POLCANOVA needed one game less to prevail against Mitsuki YOSHIDA (11:4 11:7 11:6). At the end Yulia PROKHOROVA overcame Ekaterina CHERNYAVSKAYA (11:4 11:13 11:9 11:9).

„This is good win “ said PROKHOROVA.“ I hoped that I will have the chance in my career to play in the Champions League and at age of 35 my dream come true.“

Manager Robert RENNER explained: „We did a very good job. First game is never too easy. Players were a little bit nerveus from the start the game could go either way. However we showed a little bit more routine then our adversary.“

Speking of TT Moravsky Krumlov RENNER added:“ We are very happy that we had an oportunity to play against the new club in the Champions League. Now we are heading to Linz to prepare for the Sunday’s match against Krumlov.„

Sofia POLCANOVA said:“ We are glad that we started with 3:0 win. We will try our best to continue this way.“
