Romania beat Hungary in Budaors

In Group A of the European Teams Championships Stage 1 Romania recorded second victory. After victory over Turkey they succeeded against Hungary in away match in Budaors.

Andreea DRAGOMAN gave Romania dream start after she beat Dora MADARASZ (14:12 15:13 11:7).

“ We took the match very seriously we knew they could be dangerous and we were motivated I am happy that I could win the first point for us from the first match to have a good start ” SAID Andreea DRAGOMAN.

Bernadette SZOCS won two matches. She beat Helga DARI (11:9 11:7 7:11 11:2) and in the fourth match she beat MADARASZ (11:8 8:11 11:5 11:8).

“I am very happy that my team win and I am extremely happy that I could win two points tonight. When I have the leading role in the team I give 110 percent of me to justify the position and the trust I got. There is nothing but win on my mind ” said SZOCS.”It was also great pleasure to play in Hungary. There are so many people who loves me and they were happy to see me playing there. Of course the cheered for Hungary but even so it was nice to be there.”

Elizabeta SAMARA played at the position no. 3 and lost to Georgina POTA (4:11 5:11 0:11).

“I got injured in Polish league four days ago. I tried today but it did not work. But we have a great team and girls did a good job. Matches against Hungary are always difficult and this is very important victory for us on our way to the Final stage ” said SAMARA.

On December 6th Romania will play against Turkey again.
