Lithuanian Championship 2025 Set for Druskininkai
The Lithuanian National Table Tennis Championship will take place on March 21–22 in Druskininkai, featuring 32 men and 32 women competing for national titles. Latvian National Closed Championships: The Battle for National Titles
The Latvian National Closed Table Tennis Championships will take place on March 22–23 at the Sport Hall of O. Kalpaks Riga Folk-Art Primary School, Skrindu Street 1, Riga. The tournament will feature competitions in men’s and women’s singles, with some of the country’s top players vying for the national titles. Schedule and Venue The competition begins on March 22 at 12:00, while matches on March 23 start at 10:30. The women’s singles final is scheduled for 13:15, followed by the men’s singles final at 14:00. Young Players Challenge the Experienced Guard at the Finnish Championships
The individual Table Tennis National Championships will take place on 22–23 March at Vuores Hall in Tampere. Titles will be decided in men’s and women’s singles and doubles, as well as mixed doubles. In the men’s singles, a new champion will be crowned, as Benedek OLÁH will be competing in the United States’ Major League at the same time and will therefore not be aiming for his 13th senior singles national championship gold medal. The top-seeded players in the tournament are Alex NAUMI from Kosken Kaiku, Aleksi RÄSÄNEN and Arttu PIHKALA from PT Espoo, and the experienced Otto TENNILÄ from PT 75, the host club. Marina DONNER (MBF), who has dominated the women’s singles for the past four years, has taken a break from competitions this spring due to a shoulder injury but will make her comeback in Tampere. Ramona BETZ will also be skipping this year’s championships, meaning that, alongside DONNER, other contenders for the medal matches include Maria GIRLEA from PT Jyväskylä, Aleksandra TITIEVSKAJA from PT Espoo, and Jannika OKSANEN from PT 75. Matches will begin at Vuores Hall at 10:00 on Saturday and 09:00 on Sunday. The finals are scheduled for Sunday from 15:00 onwards. Entry to the event is free. On Saturday, the competition will advance to the round of 16, setting the stage for an action-packed Sunday, where the quarterfinals, semifinals, and grand final will determine the new Swiss champions. The 64 best male and 32 best female players, along with Switzerland’s top para-athletes, will battle for the prestigious title, based on national rankings. Men’s Singles The final saw Barish MOULLET face Elias HARDMEIER. MOULLET dominated the first three sets (11-3, 11-6, 11-9), but HARDMEIER fought back to level the match at 3-3. In a nail-biting decider, MOULLET clinched his second national title with a 13-11 victory. Women’s Singles Ten-time champion Rachel MORET took on Fanny DOUTAZ in the final. DOUTAZ stunned by taking a 3-1 lead, but MORET responded to force a deciding set. However, DOUTAZ held her nerve, winning 11-8 in the seventh game, ending MORET’s dominance that had lasted since 2016 (except in 2022 due to WTT Smash). Men’s Doubles The pair Barish MOULLET & Gaël VENDÉ faced Cédric TSCHANZ & Pedro OSIRO in the final. Białystok hosts the 93rd Polish Table Tennis Championships
Białystok has been chosen as the host city for the 93rd Polish Table Tennis Championships, set to take place from March 21 to 23, 2025. The competition will be held at the sports hall of Primary School No. 50, located at Kazimierza Pułaskiego 96. This prestigious tournament will feature 96 players (48 men and 48 women) competing in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events. The defending singles champions, Samuel KULCZYCKI and Katarzyna WĘGRZYN, will seek to defend their titles in 2025. In the doubles categories, Jakub DYJAS and Patryk LEWANDOWSKI claimed the men’s title last year, while Agata ZAKRZEWSKA and Martyna LIS secured the women’s title. The reigning mixed doubles champions are Marek BADOWSKI and Natalia BAJOR. One of the most anticipated participants is Miłosz REDZIMSKI, the highest-ranked player in Poland.
