KOLODZIEJCZYK and SKERBINZ claim first titles in Horn

Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK and Nina SKERBINZ claimed the singles titles at the Austrian National Championships in Horn.

Both players celebrated their first national singles crowns in impressive fashion. KOLODZIEJCZYK delivered a strong performance in the men’s event, defeating Liu ZHENLONG in the final (4-2). On his way to the title, he dominated Simon PFEFFER in the semifinals, while ZHENLONG advanced after a dramatic seven-game win over Alexander CHEN.

In the women’s singles, 16-year-old SKERBINZ produced one of the standout performances of the championships. She defeated Karoline MISCHEK in a thrilling seven-game final (4-3), having come through a confident semifinal win over Nicole GALITSCHITSCH. MISCHEK reached the final after edging past Elina FUCHS in another tight encounter.

In doubles events, Karoline MISCHEK and Nicole GALITSCHITSCH secured the women’s doubles title, while Julian RZIHAUSCHEK and Alexander CHEN triumphed in men’s doubles after a close five-game final. The mixed doubles crown went to Mariia LYTVYN and Christoph SIMONER.
