During the European Youth Championships in Gondomar, the ETTU Executive Board awarded the 2028 European Youth Championships to Jyväskylä in Finland and the 2029 edition to Tbilisi in Georgia. Both cities will host the European Youth Championships for the first time.
Jyväskylä will stage the 2028 edition of the Championships. Widely recognised as Finland’s “Capital of Sport”, the lakeside city of around 150,000 inhabitants will welcome Europe’s best young players to the brand-new Hippos Sports Center, scheduled to open in 2027. The modern complex will bring competition and training halls together under one roof, providing athletes, coaches and officials with state-of-the-art facilities.
One year later, in 2029, the Championships will travel to Tbilisi, marking another milestone for European table tennis. Georgia’s capital, home to approximately 1.2 million people, will host the event at the Tbilisi Arena, introducing one of the continent’s premier youth competitions to the country for the first time.
