The Champions League Men is the premier club competition in European table tennis. Launched in the 1998/99 season, it replaced the European Club Cup of Champions, which had served as Europe’s top club competition since 1960/61.

The Final 4 format was introduced in 2024, bringing Europe’s four best clubs together in a single venue to decide the continental champion over one weekend.

1. FC Saarbrücken TT has dominated the competition in recent years. The German club has won the last four consecutive titles, including the first three editions of the Final 4. In 2026, Saarbrücken successfully defended the HYLO® Champions League Men trophy on home soil, defeating Alliance Nîmes/Montpellier 3-2 in a thrilling final at the Saarlandhalle. Earlier, the hosts overcame KS Orlen Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki in the semi-finals, while Alliance Nîmes/Montpellier booked their place in the title match with a victory over Borussia Düsseldorf.

Despite Saarbrücken’s recent dominance, Borussia Düsseldorf remains the most successful club in the history of the Champions League Men, with 12 titles, having claimed its first crown in the 1988/89 season. Belgium’s La Villette Charleroi follows with seven titles, including an impressive run of four consecutive victories between 2001 and 2004.

Four clubs have lifted the European title five times: CSM Cluj, Slavia/Sparta Praha, Spartacus Budapest, and Fakel Gazprom Orenburg, whose triumphs came in 2011/12, 2012/13, 2014/15, 2016/17 and 2018/19.

GSTK Vjesnik Zagreb has won the trophy four times, while TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau has been crowned European champion on three occasions.

The HYLO® Champions League Men continues to showcase the highest level of club table tennis in Europe, bringing together the continent’s leading clubs and many of the world’s top players in the battle for European glory.
