ETTU joins the European Para Championships

The European Table Tennis Union has joined the European Para Championships, which will be held in Geneva from 2 to 15 August 2027.

“We are delighted to confirm that table tennis will be included in the 2027 European Para Championships.
Following the ITTF’s decision to entrust each continent with the organisation of its continental para table tennis championships, the European Table Tennis Union has been working intensively on preparations for the 2027 event—the first continental para table tennis championships to be organised under ETTU’s responsibility.
After extensive discussions with the Organising Committee, the ETTU Executive Board approved the inclusion of para table tennis within the European Para Championships, enabling our para athletes to compete as part of a prestigious multisport event while ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants.
We feel very confident the 2027 European Para Championships will be an exciting experience for all involved,” said ETTU President Pedro MOURA.

The European Para Championships, which made its debut in 2023, is organised every four years in a major European city and represents Europe’s largest multi-sport Para event. Bringing together several sports under one umbrella, the Championships celebrate elite athletic performance, inclusivity, and the power of sport to unite athletes, fans, and partners across Europe.

ETTU is proud to be part of the European Para Championships and looks forward to contributing to an event that aims high, dreams big, and empowers the future of European sport.
