Favorites on test at away matches

2017 ITTF European Championships qualifications


The 2017 ITTF European Championships qualifications continues with the matches between top seeds and second ranked teams in their respective groups in Men’s and Women’s Championships Divisions. All top seeded teams will play away matches.


Gold medalists from Europeran Championships Iin Russia, team of Austria will travel to Hungary. Last month Robert GARDOS, Daniel HABESON and Stefan FEGERL easily prevailed against Denmark 3:0. In Group B, silver medalists Germany will travell to Belgrade. Once again Patrick FRANZISKA will lead the team against Serbia. After Aleksandar KARAKASEVIC decision to take off the national jersey, the hosts is also weaken. In previous round Germany beat Switzerland.


After victory over Finland, France travells to Italy. Newly crowned European champion Emmanuel LEBESSON and silver medalist from Budapest Simon GAUZY will play tomorrow. In Group D, Croatia will host Belarus. Vladimir SAMSONOV and his teammates beat Israel last month.


Mattias KARLSSON led his team to the victory over Estonia in September, now Sweden will go to Slovakia to try to repeat the success. Portugal showed no mercy against Lithuania in first round, even without Marcos FREITAS, Tiago APLONIA and Joao MONTEIRO. We will see can Ukraine cause some damage to the 2014 champions. Greece beat Netherlands at home and now they will travell to England.


The only team who failed to justify their rankings, Poland will try to make things right in Belgium. Last month they lost at thome soil against spirited team of Slovenia. Spain will host Russia and Romania with Adrian CRISAN will host Czech Republic led by Tomas KONECNY.


You will be able to see the live streaming on Italy vs. France, Croatia vs. Belarus, England vs. Greece, Belgium vs. Poland, Romania vs. Czech Republic.


On their way to Luxembourg 2017, top seeded team in Women’s competition, Germany will play against Slovenia tomorrow. HAN Ying, Nina MITTELHAN and HAN Yuan beat England last month.


Romania beat Greece and now Elizabeta SAMARA with her teammate looks for another victory over Netherlands. Russia will play against Belarus and Croatia against Ukraine. Ukraine allready played two matches. They beat Finland twice. Poland goes to Spain and Austria to Wales, Czech Republic team to Serbia, Portugal to Turkey, France to Slovakia and Hungary to Sweden.
