The upcoming weekend will reveal us the names of the 2014/15 Men’s European Champions Leagues finalists. The two top seeds have clear advantages from away games, but this Friday and Saturday they need to confirm it: Fakel Gazproma Orenburg – Wienviertel Niederosterreich (April 3rd, 13h20 CET, 1st match 3:1), Borussia Dusseldorf – Chartres ASTT (April 4th, 13h00 CET, 1st leg 3:1). After Asian Cup, some Asian players will be again available for their European clubs, including Chartres`s main weapon GAO Ning.

“Timo was our match winner in the first game with two victories. But as important as Timo BOLL`s successful matches was the victory of Patrick (FRANZISKA) in the premier act against Robert GARDOS”, said Borussia`s Coach Danny HEISTER who stressed that “3:1 in the away match in Chartres is a very good result: „So we are in a good position to reach the final. On Saturday Chartres will be stronger with its No. 1 GAO Ning. We have to be focused and play our best table tennis again to beat Chartres or to win at least two singles. It will be a tough game again.”

Borussia`s Manager Andreas PREUSS says that “3:1 looks clear and safe…But we won all our singles very, very close. We could have lost the first game in Chartres 0:3 too! Sure, the chance to go to the final is high now. So we will fight for every set, for every ball. By the way I count on our fans in the sold out ARAG CenterCourt. They will support us and they will push us if it’s getting close. We will enjoy the great atmosphere in the hall.”

Patrick FRANZISKA did a good job in Chartres, beating Robert GARDOS in the opening game 3:2. The youngest Borussia`s player believes that his side has the open way to the final: The advantage is on our side after our important and successful game in Chartres. I think we have been stronger in the decisive moments. So I hope that we can do it once again to reach the final. That’s our huge goal! We will fight for it.”

Top seeded Orenburg beat Niederosterreich 3:1 playing 1st game in Austria. As both sides already mentioned, the Russian champion is clear favorite in the returning clash. But, the final outcome will depend for sure on it how HOU Yingchao will play against Dimitrij OVTCHAROV and Vladimir SAMSONOV.
