Tonight`s Round 4 games of 2014/15 Men`s European Champions League brought new magic moment for Swedish Eslov and its player Robert SVENSSON who was a match winner in third consecutive game of his club, all three decided in fifth encounter. Eslovs beat in last three rounds Wienviertel Niederosterreich, Chartres and Werder respectively, thanks to SVENSSON`s 3:2 wins against Stefan FEGERL, Par GERELL and tonight – Adrian CRISAN.

All six results of tonight`s games are: Olimpia – Orenburg 1:3, Roskilde – Pontoise 0:3, Eslovs – Werder Bremen 3:2, Angers – UMMC, Sten Marketing – Saarbrucken 1:3, Bogoria – Borussia 1:3. Orenburg, UMMC and Borussia are only unbeaten clubs so far. Two more Group 4 matches will be held tomorrow: Wienviertel Niederosterrecih – Chartres (17h00) and Walter Wels – Hennebont (19h00).

Two times MECL champion Orenburg continues unbeaten after four games in Group A. They beat Olimpia Unia away 3:1 and booked quarter-final spot. It was the first clash of Russian champion this season not ended in straight games. Dimitrij OVTCHAROV took two points (ZATOWKA and WANG) and Vladimir SAMSONOV one (WANG), whilst Alexey SMIRNOV was beaten by Yoshida KAII.

Defending champion Pontoise had no problem in Denmark. Roskilde without injured Michael MAZE had no enough power to jeopardize favorites in Group A. Marcos FREITAS and WANG Jian Jun won in straight games each, against Allan BETNSEN and Finn TIGWELL respectively, while Kristian KARLSSON overcame Claus NIELSEN in four sets of third game. French club is 90 % certain for the next stage.

Eslovs defeated Werder Bremen 3:2 in Group B. Swedish champion now has surprisingly 3-1 score (all three wins 3:2) whilst “The Greens”, who was considered as favorites in this group alongside Chartres, have just one victory so far. XU Hui improved his individual record on 6-2, defeating two players of 2013 Bundesliga champion: Adrian CRISAN 3:1 and Bastian STEGER 3:2.

UMMC keeps the top of Group C, thanks first of all to Jun MIZUTANI who now has 6-0 score. Russian club won at Angers 3:2 after long and close fight. After three matches host side lead, Japanese leveled in fourth one and at the end Joao MONTEIRO secured fourth consecutive win for UMMC. MIZUTANI defeated Christophe LEGOUT (3:1) and Jens LUNDQVIST (3:2). MONTEIRO had unconvinced start against LEGOUT in decisive fifth encounter, but after he lost first set next three took in a style.

One more game was held in Group C as Saarbrucken beat away Sten Marketing 3:1. German side is very close to secure place in quarter-final. On the other side, Czech club lost all its chances. Tiago APOLONIA suffered his first defeat this season (from Tomas TREGLER) but it was just temporary weakness, bearing in mind that he was very convinced in last game, against Pavel IRUCEK. Each Saarbrucken player contributed with one point tonight (TOKIC beat SIRUCEK, MATTENET overcame KORBEL)

Bogoria and Borussia played 8th match one against another and German side won 6th time. Two seasons ago Polish champion beat twice Timo BOLL`s side in group stage, but this time ten times European champion showed his right face. OH Sang Eun brought early lead to the host, beating Sharat Kamal ACHANTA, but guests replied with fast BOLL`s win against Robert FLORAS. Panagiotis GIONIS secured first lead for Borussia, playing four sets with Daniel GORAK. At the end, BOLL was very satisfied obtaining chance for revenge against OH who beat him two years ago when German missed four match balls.
