Fakel Gazproma Orenburg has been delivered the present they promised Gazprom company’s to employees for the Gasmen`s Day (September 7th). The Russian table tennis champion beat Polish Olimpia Unia Grudziadz 3:0 in opening game of MECL Group A, but guests lined up just two available players.

The best ranked MECL player Dimitrij OVTCHAROV, actual individual European champion, defeated Bartosz SUCH in straight games. World`s no. 5 went smoothly until the late third set when guest managed to save one set ball.

Ten times MECL champion Vladimir SAMSONOV had some problems with young defender WANG Yang, who won first set. But after that Bielorussian led the play, starting by 7:0 in second set.

One of biggest European prospects, Patryk ZATOWKA was not able to play against host Alexey SMIRNOV. The 17 year-old Polish boy, actual no. 33 on World U 18 ranking list (4th European), was not fully recovered of injury which suffered on recent 2014 Youth Olympic Games at Nanjing.

One more problem for Olimpia Unia was that they arrived to Orenburg without HUANG Sheng-Sheng (Chinese Taipei), as he couldn`t obtain the Russian visa on time.
