Can AKKUZU reached the top position at the end of day two at the Europe Top 10 in Tours. Filip ZELJKO of Croatia and Killian ORT of Germany are on positions two and three. Most likely we will have to wait until the last round tomorrow to see the winner of the Event. The clash between two leading players will decide the winner.

In the last round of the day Anton KALLBERG of Sweden overcame Alexandre CASSIN of France, but most thrilling game was the one between DIOGO Chen and Filip ZELJKO. ZELJKO recovered from 1:3 I reverse to level the match, before Diogo won the last game 12:10.

This tournament had exhausting start for Patryk ZATOWKA, but today he spent little less time in playing box. “First day was very hard. I played 21 games. All my matches concluded in seven games. The strangest of all was the match against Diogo CHEN. I was 0:3 down before I recovered to win. It never happened before for me. Against Tomislav PUCAR I was 3:0 up before I lost. He really rose his game to another level after third game,” explained ZATOWKA.

Todays encounters brought little less stress. “Against David REITSPIES I played very well, but against Alexandre CASSIN it was different story. I was not at the top of my game. I did not feel I could win that.” In the last round today Killian ORT managed to beat ZATOWKA after seven games.

In junior Girls Category Lea RAKOVAC of Croatia has impressive run, whilst Poland’s Natalia BAJOR and Pauline CHASSELIN of France follow her closely. Ekaterina GUSEVA is third. Today Lea beat Maria MALANINA of Russia and Ekaterina GUSEVA of Russia; both matches went full distance.

Pauline CHASSELIN overcame WAN Yuan and Tin Tin HO of England. “Yesterday was much harder. I played against Lea RAKOVAC very difficult match. I could not find the answer to her service game. In addition I had to meet two French players Laura PFEFER and Audrey ZARIF. I beat them both but it is hard when you play against the players you know so well,” explained Pauline.

Pauline played against WAN Yuan recently at the German Open. “I was aware how she play so it was easer to prepare the tactics. Against Tin Tin HO I had not played since mini cadets days, so I was not sure what to expect. “

Natalia BAJOR also overcame German representative, as well as Laura PFEFER in the first round of the day. “I feel good here and I am happy with my game. After Italy I had not playing that much. I was in Nanjing and that was good experience, but I am not happy with the result in China,” explained Natalia.

Maria MALANINA of Russia was forced to withdraw. She has flue and high fever.
