2014 World Championships set to be most viewed TT event in history

The ZEN-NOH 2014 World Team Table Tennis Championships being held on 28 April – 5 March in Tokyo, Japan is set to be the most viewed ITTF event iin history. ITTF’s media rights holder Total Sports Asia has announced that the 52nd edition of the ITTF World Championships will be seen live on TV by over 100 countries across the globe TMS Managing Director Anders Thunström, who oversees ITTF’s television activities on behalf of the ITTF stated: “Several of the world’s largest networks are combining to ensure this global coverage in over 100 countries. With the TV-coverage and all the coverage on-line by both itTV and the ITTF YouTube channel, all the table tennis fans across the world will have access to ITTF’s premier event.”

Complementing the viewership on TV, the ITTF is expecting over 4 million connections on its online streaming platform ITTF.com/itTV and 3 million views on its YouTube channel YouTube.com/ITTFChannel.

This exposure, in addition to the 900 accredited media on site, will ensure that the 52nd edition of the ITTF World Team Championships will be the most extensively viewed ITTF World Championships in history.
