KORBEL chairperson of the new ETTU Athletes Commission

Matilda EKHOLM (SWE), Adrian CRISAN (ROU), Peter KORBEL (CZE), Christophe LEGOUT (FRA) were elected as Athletes Commission members during the LIEBHERR European Championships in Schwechat, Austria. In addition José Manuel RUIZ (ESP) has been elected as Para TT representative of the Athletes Commission during the Para TT Championships in Lignano, Italy (39,79%). During the two days voting sessions in Austria 48,32% players had voted. During the today’s meeting the elected athletes have unanimously chosen Mr. KORBEL as the Chairperson of the Athletes Commission. The members are elected for a 4 years term.
ETTU followed the recommendation of the IOC 2000 Reform Commission that “athletes should be well represented at all levels of the sports movement”.
The mission of the ETTU Athletes’ Commission is to represent the views of the athletes and make their voice heard within the ETTU.
Some of the objectives of the Commission are to consider issues related to athletes and provide advice to the ETTU, represent the rights and interests of athletes and to make related recommendations, maintain contact with the ITTF Athletes’ Commission, EOC and EPC Athletes’ Commissions…
