Third round of Women`s European Champions League will be, perhaps, the game as usual for many clubs, but for Tyumen it is the very special day. In this Russian city WECL will be presented for the very first time this Sunday where the best Polish club Zamek is arriving.

“This first time in history such big table tennis match will be held Tyumen. We wait something about 500 spectators”, speaks Tyumen`s president and coach Georgiy MIKHAYLOV who continues: “The very popular sport in Tyumen is futsal (indoor football) very there play a lot of Brazilian players. And we try to make Table Tennis also popular”.

After first two rounds in Group B, both sided have same 1-1 score, beating Budaorsi and losing from reigning champion Linz AG Froschberg. That is the reason what upcoming much is so important, in battle for second place and quarter final ticket.

“Zamek Tarnobrzeg is very strong team and we respect them but, not afraid from them. And we will give them big fight”, stressed Gergiy MIKHAYLOV.

The reprise of 2012/13 WECL final will be seen in same group this Sunday at Linz where Froschberg will meet Budaorsi 2i SC. Manager of Hungarian club Krisztina SZVITAN explains how her team came in situation to have 0-2 score:

“First two matches were very different for us. In Poland we didn’t have real chance, because they were too strong. After that WECL match HAN Ying became Europen Champion in Scwechat, STRIBIKOVA won bronze medal in team event, so they were in a good shape before European Championships… We felt it! On the second match at home against Tyumen we had a big chance to win. We lead 2:1 (by MADARÁSZ and FAZEKAS) and Szandra PERGEL won many times again MIKHAILOVA, but that day Russian girl played very well. PASKAUSKIENE played on a high level, like every time, and maybe we respect her too much. Our team is mostly so young, we have to learn from these matches, but these matches give us very good experiences for the next period in WECL.”

She reminds that last season`s final against LIU Jia & Company was also very important for the experience: “The lesson for us 2012/13 final against Linz: we have to play a lot of good, and difficult games, like this, and this year is excellent for that for our young players. I think this is the only way for the young players, if they can play matches like this. Of course we will give everything next rounds, we don’t give up, but from now we can play without any pressure”.

Group A offers “The game of the week” at Schwechat, on same soil where the recent 2013 LIEBHERR European Championships was held. And it will be chance for reprise of gold medal match between LI Fen (SVS STROCK) and SHAN Xioana (Berlin Eastside). Austrian team has 1-1 score in first two rounds, whilst the 2012 WECL champion expects Friday`s game with 2-0, after amazing comeback against no.1 favorite Fenerbahce.

Main candidate for the 2013/14 crown, Turkish champion (1-1), should not have a hard job this Saturday, because they play against Metz (0-2) at home. Everything except clear win for Viktoria PAVLOVICH`s side will be a huge surprise, despite French side having former individual European champion WU Jiaduo.
