China takes three out of four WJC singles titles

China was denied only of one title at the 2013 ITTF World Junior Table Tennis Championships in Rabat. In Junior Boys Singles Event JANG Woojin of Korea beat ZHOU Kai of China to secure the title. In all other Singles and Doubles Events China prevailed. In

China was denied only of one title at the 2013 ITTF World Junior Table Tennis Championships in Rabat. In Junior Boys Singles Event JANG Woojin of Korea beat ZHOU Kai of China to secure the title. In all other Singles and Doubles Events China prevailed. In the final Korean succeed in four games (11:6, 8:11, 11:7, 16:14, 11:4).

JANG Woojin, the no.10 seed, recovered from a two games to nil deficit to beat China’s KONG Lingxuan in semis, who had been required to negotiate the qualification stage of, before his compatriot ZHOU Kai, the no.16 seed halted Japanese hopes. He beat Masataka MORIZONO, the no.2 seed, in five games.

On her fifth consecutive ITTF World Junior Championships, GU Yuting of China clinched the title in Rabat. In the duel between two top seeded players GU overcame compatriot LIU Gaoyang in full distance duel – 4:3 (11:9, 7:11, 9:11, 11:5, 3:11, 11:9, 11:8) In semi final GU Yuting accounted for LIU Xi in five games (11:7, 11:7, 8:11, 11:6, 11:8), before in six games, LIU Gaoyang ended the title dreams of WANG Manyu (11:8, 11:8, 6:11, 8:11, 11:8, 12:10).

In Junior Boys’ Doubles Final KONG Lingxuan and ZHOU Qihao of China overcame JANG Woojin and PARK Chan-Hyeok of Korea 4:2 (10:13, 11:9, 15:13, 11:7, 11:13, 11:7), whilst in five games duel GU Yuting and LIU Xi beat LIU Gaoyang and WANG Manyu (11:8, 11:9, 11:9, 8:11, 11:9).
