Win at the edge of the knife for TTC Berlin eastside

In the opening match of the Champions League Women quarterfinal TTC Berlin eastside beat Metz TT in five matches. At home, Germany’s team recovered from 1:2 in reverse to beat French club and two matches, included the decisive one, ended with sudden death point- both in favor of hosts.

Nina MITTELHAM forced Mariia TAILAKOVA to go full distance, but at the end it was one match all (14:12, 9:11, 7:11, 11:4, 4:6).

Pauline CHASSELIN gave Metz the lead with the victory over Sabina SURJAN (11:9, 6:11, 11:7, 11:2). SHAN pushed into the decisive match with the victory over TAILAKOVA (11:4, 11:1, 11:7) before DIACONU lost another match tonight by death point. MITTELHAM recovered from 0:2 in reverse to win this leg (7:11, 8:11, 11:5, 11:9, 6:5).
