After some drama in the first quarterfinal the second one was the comparatively quiet affair with the favorites prevailed in straight matches. Hungarian SH-ITB Budaörsi Sport Club overcame Austria's TTC CarinthiaWinds Villach to secure tomorrow's semi final.
“I am not very safe with my game against defense and we tried to avoid their defensive players, so I moved to position no. two. They predicted it and at the beginning it was Petra LOVAS who played against Anna FENYVESY and I had to meet Ivana MALOBABIC. It ended well eventually. I won two opening games easily, got scared a little; lost the focus, but prevailed. Now I am very happy that I played against the players with defensive style to bust my self confidence. At the end Georgina POTA sealed the match without difficulties,” said Sabina SURJAN.
Sabina played for Novi Sad before she moved to Hungarian club.
“I wish them well against Hododnin and I hope we will meet in the semi final,” said SURJAN.

Etival Clairefontaine ASRTT lost to CP Lyssois Lille Métropole in straight matches in all-French quarterfinal. The breaking point was the duel between Hana MATELOVA and Linda BERGSTROM which concluded by narrowest of margins – by death point in decisive games.
““My duel was very intense one. I entered in the match slowly and i built it gradually. As the match progressed I surprised myself how my forehand worked well. My spin on spin game, forehand top spin was very good. It is not something you can easily achieved against players like Hana MATELOVA,” said BERGSTROM.
Faced the sudden death point game, BERGSTROM was not afraid.
“We usually use this system at the trainings, so I am well prepared. Also I felt confident and my game was constantly on good level.”
