Good opening day at the Youth Top 10 in Berlin for Felix LEBRUN

Cadet Boys Event

There are eight players on duty at the Cadets Event at the European Youth Top 10 commenced today in Berlin. The top seeded trio from Romania faced few upsets, so at the opening day Felix LEBRON of France and Mateusz ZALEWSKI of Poland steal the spotlight.

Both players are unbeaten in two rounds, but unlike ZALEWSKI who was seeded at the position no. Five, LEBRUN came as a substitute.

I am very happy that I managed to beat Andrei ISTRATE and Jakub GOLDI. I did not come with great expectations, for me the most important is to score as much victories as I can,” said Felix.

European champion Darius MOVILEANU of Romania had a shaky start against teammate ISTRATE.

We are playing in the same club, so it is very difficult to play against him. We know each other very well. However, it is still too early, I have a chance to catch up with the players at top of the standings. I hope it will end well for me,” said Darius.
