The number 1 from Wales, Charlotte CAREY, from Girbau Vic TT and Felix LEBRUN from Montpellier TT, clinched the titles in their respective Women’s and Men’s Singles Event at the 35th Vic International Open - Grand Prix Diputación de Barcelona de Table Tennis.

In the women's final, CAREY beat Swiss number 1 Rachel MORET (TT Nimes) 3-1, displaying a very aggressive game. MORET, who was the seed 1 of this edition, could only win one game against the player of the Girbau Vic TT team.

In men, the French Felix LEBRUN has won 3-0, the Catalan, Joan MASIP (Asisa Borges Vall), second seeded. In the semifinals, LEBRUN also surpassed the seed number 1, Oriol MONZÓ, of Leka Enea Irún. This is the first time in 35 years of the Vic Open that a player under the age of 18 has been proclaimed champion.

In the adapted test, the winner was Edgar MATARÓ (CETT Esparreguera) who beat his clubmate, Jordi MORALES, by close 3-2 in the final. Former World champion Jordi MORALES, seeded number one, has been surprised by the good play of the young Edgar MATARÓ.
