World Championships in Busan Update

 

At the European Table Tennis Union Extraordinary Congress held in the Danubius Hotel Arena in Budapest during the ITTF World Tour Hungarian Open, ITTF President Thomas WEIKERT, also updated ETTU delegates with the latest news from Busan.

 

“Our key staff members are in Busan and they are monitoring the situation with the local authorities. Safety of the players and participants comes first and regarding that we will make the decision what will be the future of this World Championships. We will have the solution by the end of the next week; it might not be the best, but we will have the solution. We are aware that the players has to know what will happen in order to prepare properly. We also need solidarity and understanding that we are looking all available options,” said WEIKERT.
