Preparation for the 2019 ITTF Challenge, Polish Open, Wladyslawowo (Oct 16-20)
Natalia BAJOR, 22-year-old member of Poland’s National Team, and the two-team Olympian Katarzyna GRZYBOWSKA-FRANC will be the most successful host players at the 2019 ITTF Challenge, Polish Open, Wladyslawowo (Oct 16-20), announced Polish Table Tennis Federation (PZTS).
In the absence of the actual individual European champion LI Qian and the fourth placed 2019 ITTF Europe Top 16 in Montreux, Natalia PARTYKA (she will play at the Uncle Pop 2019 ITTF Women's World Cup, Chengdu, Oct 18-20), the leaders of the Polish team will be BAJOR and GRZYBOWSKA-FRANC. BAJOR was a part of the team which won bronze at the 2019 European Games in Minsk, Belarus, while GRZYBOWSKA-FRANC reached its biggest success by reaching Women’s Singles bronze at the 2018 ITTF European Championships in Alicante (when LI Qian was crowned champion).
- The current strength of Polish women's table tennis is based on our four players: LI Qian, PARTYKA, GRZYBOWSKA-FRANC and BAJOR. Regarding BAJOR, she became Polish champion (she won both singles and doubles titles in March), but did not reach international level so far. He still has a lot of reserves. PZTS has provided Natalia BAJOR very good starting conditions, so she will play World Tours in Sweden, Germany and Austria. Previously, she competed in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic, but a lot will depend on her – stated Poland’s Coach Zbigniew NECEK, explaining that LI, PARTYKA and BAJOR are focused on the preparation for the Olympic Qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
