Favorites faced upsets in Belgium and Denmark

In Europe Cup Women, leading clubs in A Group TTC Kazan from Russia and B Group Spain’s Tecnigen Linares justified their status, but in Group C CTT Tiege and in Group D ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari upset the ranking order.

 

In Group A Daria SHADRINA, Ekaterina OKHOTNIKOVA and Arina SLAUTINA beat TT Vedrinamur from Belgium with Jana BERNARD, Morgane GUIDON and Elodie BOSSUT. Cyprus’ hosts Onisilos Lakatamias suffered in both encounters.

 

In Group B Spain’s Tecnigen Linares hosted this stage’s matches and won all of them. Klaudia KUSINSKA, Roxana Ana Maria ISTRATE, Lucia AGUAYO and Judith COBAS faced biggest threat from DT Nidderkäerjeng from Luxembourg with Anelia LUPULESKU, Egle SANIROVIC and Lena GREIN, but maintained their leading position. TTC Nodo Ekeren from Belgium and Portugal’s G.D. Dos Toledos are third and fourth.

 

In Belgium hosts CTT Tiege, took the advantage from playing at the home soil and booked first position. Marie CAPOCCI, Alison GEORIS, Aurore LAMBERTY, Cecile OZER and Alisson SIMAR beat Tigem Spor Club from Turkey and DT Roodt – Syre from Luxembourg but suffered from other Belgium’s club TT Jamoigne. DT Roodt – Syre is second with also one defeat. In Luxembourg’s team were Tessy GONDERINGER, Christine KONSBRUCK and Annick STAMMET.

 

ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari’s Andreea Teodora CLAPA, WEI Jian and Rossana FERCIUG created un upset and reached the top position in the group D. They are in front of Romania’s ACS Dumbravita with Andreea Valentina ZANFIR, Mihaela Roxan ILIE and Reka BEZEG. Hosts D Hillerød G.I. Bordtennis with Pia TOELHØJ, Mie SKOV and Petra SÖRLING are third and top seeded Italy’s A.S.D. Tennistavolo Norbello finished fourth.
